The Safety Store at University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital carries products to improve the health and well-being of all children. We stock products that hopefully prevent or reduce the significance of an unintentional injury, including unique items for children with special healthcare needs.

Unintentional injury is the leading cause of death and disability for children from birth to 18 years of age. The Safety Store at University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital was developed to improve the health and well-being of all children by offering families safety and injury prevention education and affordable products that fit children's individual needs. Many of these products are unique and hard to find, including those for children with special needs.
